Gzip	Resend from origin, or compress on edgeCotendo also offers the possibility to deactivate Gzip on the origin and have Cotendo do the Gzipping on their servers (compression-on-the-fly), for an even faster delivery to end users and less load on the origin. And, Cotendo supports exclude lists. If a specific user-agent requests a compressed object, the Cotendo server can decide to send it uncompressed due to known compliancy issues that the user-agent might have.
Persistent connections
Honors all origin server headers	Cotendo will comply to the following cache headers: Pragma: no-cache, Expires: valid date, Cache-Control: no-cache or no-store or max-age=x.
Can override origin server headers	Cotendo supports full modifications of any headers. The customer can add his own headers, set the value of any existing header and even re-name some headers while preserving their value. Also, to support mobile content delivery, Cotendo's CDN-integrated mobile device database offers the ability and flexibility to cache content according to device.

Control Panel & statistics	Cotendo offers the possibility to test and validate new CDN configurations in the complete staging environment without impacting production traffic. Statistics include: Real-time Usage Report. Top Objects Report. Referrer Report.
Access Logs	Cotendo supports a full transaction log service which will FTP logs to the customers's FTP server. The customer can decide how frequent he wants the logs to be sent (daily, hourly, real-time). Additionally, the customer can decide which fields and in which format (i.e. supports w3c format) to generate the log.
API	The different APIs available are: Flush (purge), Set Configuration, Get Configuration, Publish Configuration. Additionally Cotendo supports report APIs (Get Bandwidth Report by Account; Get Bandwidth Report by Origin and many others).
Support	All Cotendo services are including 24/7/365 premium support by phone and e-mail (with a human (not auto reply) e-mail response time within 5 minutes). Furthermore every customer gets an own dedicated engineer for all technical matters + an own dedicated account manager for all business matters (including all direct contacts: mobile phone number, email, Skype, etc.)
