Company profile
Voxel started out to commercially support load balancing for Linux in 2000 and has expanded it's service offering to include a CDN with 20 POPs. Voxel provides a 100% uptime SLA and it's daily mission is to make things "just work" for their customers. Based in NYC and with an office in Singapore, Voxel has 1,000+ customers. Voxel was acquired by Internap in Q4 2011.
Network Map
Voxel believes in managing the entire infrastructure stack and built VoxNET, a fully owned and operated global IP backbone. VoxNET provides 250 Gbps of edge capacity with fully redundant 10G and multiple 10G waves between the 21 POPs.
Pricing & Contract duration
In 2008, Voxel introduced Universal Transfer, a cost effective bandwidth pricing model: only pay for what you use on a simple 'per GB' basis. Voxel offers a competitive price level.
| Pricing & Contract duration | |
|---|---|
| Price US/EU traffic - low volume | $0.10 per GB |
| Price US/EU traffic - high volume | $0.05 per GB, at 500 TB per month |
| Extra charge for APAC region traffic | No extra charge |
| Storage | $0.20 per GB per month |
Note: custom price plans are very common in the CDN market, especially for large volume customers. We recommend you always talk to the CDN provider about your needs and requirements and work with them to get a best-fit deal.
Features & Support
Voxel's CDN (VoxCAST) offers all the key features, including a standards-based REST API and access log files. They built and released a (free) Apache module, mod_cdn.
