Company Verizon Media CDNetworks
Short profile The Verizon Media Platform is a division of Verizon. In 2013, Verizon acquired EdgeCast's Content Delivery Network (CDN) along with upLynk's video workflow technology to create a next-generation platform. This platform streamlines the streaming video workflow including encoding, SSAI and delivery, plus accelerates and secures websites and content for broadcasters, retailers and enterprises. Founded in 2000, CDNetworks has been in the content delivery space longer than most other CDNs. CDNetworks always had, and still has, a strong focus on emerging markets like Brazil and Russia. CDNetworks has a wide range of content delivery/acceleration and security products.
