Company

Company Verizon Media Fastly
Short profile The Verizon Media Platform is a division of Verizon. In 2013, Verizon acquired EdgeCast's Content Delivery Network (CDN) along with upLynk's video workflow technology to create a next-generation platform. This platform streamlines the streaming video workflow including encoding, SSAI and delivery, plus accelerates and secures websites and content for broadcasters, retailers and enterprises. Founded in 2011, Fastly has grown into a mature CDN provider. Fastly offers a range of services including streaming media delivery and private CDN but Fastly is best known for being a 'real-time CDN', meaning changes happen instantly and the platform can deliver 'uncacheable' content well.
