Short profile The Verizon Media Platform is a division of Verizon. In 2013, Verizon acquired EdgeCast's Content Delivery Network (CDN) along with upLynk's video workflow technology to create a next-generation platform. This platform streamlines the streaming video workflow including encoding, SSAI and delivery, plus accelerates and secures websites and content for broadcasters, retailers and enterprises. Limelight (NASDAQ: LLNW) has been a strong player in the CDN market since 2001. Limelight has a large, high-capacity network with POPs on many continents and offers digital content delivery, live and on-demand video, cloud security and edge computing services.
