Short profile The Verizon Media Platform is a division of Verizon. In 2013, Verizon acquired EdgeCast's Content Delivery Network (CDN) along with upLynk's video workflow technology to create a next-generation platform. This platform streamlines the streaming video workflow including encoding, SSAI and delivery, plus accelerates and secures websites and content for broadcasters, retailers and enterprises. QUANTIL launched their CDN services in 2012. They have a strong focus on live stream delivery with continued support for RTMP, L-HLS, HDS, HTTP TS and HTTP FLV.
